We will then pair people together for conversation in twos or threes. After 15 minutes\, we take a break and find a new conversation partner. The lead volunteer has conversation starters on hand such as magazines so it is easy to get a conversation started. We serve tea and cookies. \nCome once to give it a try or come every week! \nWe need volunteers \nAre you interested in helping new English language learners improve their skills? DESCRIPTION:Session\nThe Book of Order specifies that all churches in the PC(USA) are governed by a Session\, elected by the membership of the church annually. The Westminster Session is composed of 9 members\, each of whom serve for 3-year terms. Our Pastor\, Rev. Heather Kirk-Davidoff\, is the Moderator of the Session and Leah Threatte currently serves as the Clerk of Session. The Session is responsible for establishing the policies of the church and discerning a vision for its program and mission. The Session adopts the annual budget of the church\, hires staff\, receives members\, and provides oversight for the church’s work as a whole. \nWPC’s Session is scheduled to meet the second Tuesday of each month. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to practice your English in an informal setting? \nCome by Westminster any (or every!) Sunday afternoon\, starting at 3:00 pm for a Conversation Club run by RISSE (Refugee and Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus). \nThere is no cost (free!) and anyone looking to practice English is invited to participate. \nHow will this work? \nWe meet in the Welles Room and our time together begins as a whole group. We will then pair people together for conversation in twos or threes. After 15 minutes\, we take a break and find a new conversation partner. The lead volunteer has conversation starters on hand such as magazines so it is easy to get a conversation started. We serve tea and cookies. \nCome once to give it a try or come every week! \nWe need volunteers \nAre you interested in helping new English language learners improve their skills? DESCRIPTION:Session\nThe Book of Order specifies that all churches in the PC(USA) are governed by a Session\, elected by the membership of the church annually. The Westminster Session is composed of 9 members\, each of whom serve for 3-year terms. Our Pastor\, Rev. Heather Kirk-Davidoff\, is the Moderator of the Session and Leah Threatte currently serves as the Clerk of Session. The Session is responsible for establishing the policies of the church and discerning a vision for its program and mission. The Session adopts the annual budget of the church\, hires staff\, receives members\, and provides oversight for the church’s work as a whole. \nWPC’s Session is scheduled to meet the second Tuesday of each month. If you have any question\, please contact the pastor.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Westminster WOW Walkers on a one or 2.5-mile walk to raise money to fight hunger locally and worldwide. The walk starts and ends at: St. Vincent de Paul Church\, 900 Madison Ave\, Albany. \nJoin the Westminster Outreach Walkers (WOW) to help raise money to fight hunger locally and worldwide. 25% of the total funds raised by the Capital Region CROP Walks goes to help our neighbors who use local food pantries and soup kitchens. The remaining 75% helps support the work of Church World Service and its partners for hunger relief and development projects around the world. Learn more about Church World Service. \n\nRegistration begins at 12:30 pm\nOpening ceremony: 1:10 pm\nWalk begins at 1:30 pm\n\nRegister online as a team walker or support a person online: 2026 CROP Hunger Walk – WOW – Westminster Outreach Walkers \nSee Team Captain Marie McClumpha if you wish to register in-person and to pick-up a donation collection packet. \nYou may also walk on your own at a location of your choice anytime during the month of May. Whenever you walk\, please be sure to register as part of our Westminster team. \nInvite your friends\, relatives\, neighbors\, and co-workers to sponsor you! \nYou may donate online\, provide a cash donation\, or checks can also be sent to Westminster (85 Chestnut St. Albany\, NY 12210). Checks should be made out to “CWS/CROP” with “Westminster Team” entered in the memo line. The name of the walker being sponsored can also be added. \nContact our Team Captain Marie McClumpha for more information. \n“If we work together\, we can end world hunger.
