The theme for April is: New Life

This curriculum delves into the transformative power of Jesus’ resurrection, offering children a fresh perspective through captivating stories, enjoyable activities, and thought-provoking discussions.

Central Theme: The resurrection of Jesus heralds a NEW LIFE brimming with hope and joy, a promise that inspires and uplifts.

Gospel Connection: The resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event; it’s the dawn of a NEW LIFE for all believers. This new life is a beacon of forgiveness, eternal joy, and an everlasting bond with God. Ever wished you could start something over? Maybe a game, a bad day, or even a whole year? Guess what? Jesus offers us something even better than a do-over: a NEW LIFE! His resurrection wasn’t just a miracle—it was the beginning of a promise that we all can start fresh with God. No more feeling stuck with old mistakes or carrying regrets. This Easter, discover how Jesus’ victory over the tomb opens up endless possibilities for us.

However, before we start our NEW LIFE curriculum, we shall conclude our “Celebrate Communion’ series with the last session; Feed Others.

LESSON OUTLINE

April 6 – FEED OTHERS

Like all of us, children love to eat with family and friends.Food is something we share with our inner circle. In this session, Jesus teaches those who follow him to share food with those outside the circle. This challenges children, as it challenges all of us. It is easy to share with those we love and those who share with us. Children desire reciprocity and an equal exchange satisfies that desire. God desires all to be welcome. To help children move toward the expansive nature of God,this session invites children to explore how others share food with those outside their circles and how they might do so as well.

April 13 – 🌴 Palm Sunday! 🌴 Communion Sunday
One Great Hour of Sharing: All who have Fish Banks are reminded to bring them to church on this day.

  • Main Idea: Jesus invites us to remember Him and share in His life every time we gather together.
  • Gospel Connection: At the Last Supper, Jesus established communion, inviting us to partake in His sacrifice, which brings forgiveness and new life. This act of sharing bread and wine is a continual reminder of His love and the new covenant in His blood.
