Sundays: March 16, 23 and April 6 & 13
This study will be held in-person and online
This season, adults, youth, and children will engage in a study of the Christian practice of celebrating communion, guided by the “Follow Me” curriculum of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We’ll gather separately for five sessions, and for one session, we’ll all learn and grow together. Our hope is that these conversations will deepen our experience of communion as we celebrate it together during worship and also help us extend our practice of communion beyond Sunday mornings.
We’ll begin by sharing our own experiences of communion throughout our lives. Then, we’ll spend four sessions focusing on four important parts of the practice of communion:
- Give thanks
- Share meals
- Be fed
- Feed others
Pastor Heather Kirk-Davidoff and Sue Schell will start this study off and then we’ll look for volunteers to lead some of the sessions. Each participant will receive a study guide to use in the group and throughout the week to deepen their reflections.
Everyone is welcome–you may come to one, some, or all sessions as your schedule allows.
