This event is part of a community-building project called Westminster Commons–hosted by the Westminster Presbyterian Church and led by a group of neighbors and friends.
We will start at 7:00 pm with some time for mingling, music, and hors d’oeuvres. Then, at 7:30 pm or so, we’ll all sit down together, have a few toasts (wine and/or water!), and then enjoy a meal provided by our neighbors at Apartment Pizza, a very local, very delicious pizza maker! Vegetarian, Halal, gluten-free–you name it, we’ve got you covered. There will be some conversation starters at the table to help us get the conversation flowing. We’ll change seats for dessert and close with a circle where we can share blessings with each other.
To make sure our table includes the widest possible mix of people, we’re inviting different groups to help us extend the invitation. So while we will definitely make room for anyone who just drops in, we want to be sure as many people as possible sign up in advance. We expect around 100 people but will have to cap the event at 125 due to the size of our room and our pizza!
This event is offered completely free of charge. The Westminster Commons is hosted by the Westminster Presbyterian Church and led by a group of neighbors and friends. Our goal is to help different people and groups in the Capital Region connect to create a sense of common purpose, address problems and enjoy life more. The Commons is supported by the US@250 Fellowship at New America.
