SUMMARY:Good Friday with Capital Area Council of Churches
DESCRIPTION:An ecumenical Good Friday Service will be held at noon on April 3\, 2026\, at Mater Christi Roman Catholic Church in Albany. The service is based on the last seven words of Christ on the cross. Clergy and laity from a variety of denominations will be offering their reflections providing a truly ecumenical experience. \n12:00 noon\, In-person and live-streamed on CACC’s Facebook page \nThis year’s speakers include: \n\nPastor Byron E. Williams (Bethel Baptist Church)\nFr. Daniel Quinn (Mater Christi Roman Catholic Church)\nPastor Jett Kroondyk (Cornerstone Campus Ministry)\nRev. John Paarlberg (New York State Council of Churches)\nDr. Margaret Anderton (Chaplain\, St. Peter’s Hospital)\nRev. Martha Hubbard (St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church)\nRev. Michael-Aaron Poindexter (Macedonia Baptist Church)\n\n\nEvery year\, the Capital Area Council of Churches (CACC) brings together members of churches from throughout the city for this special service\, reflecting on the last words that Jesus Christ said from the cross\, as recorded in the Gospels of Matthew\, Mark\, Luke\, and John. Clergy and laity from a variety of Christian denominations will be offering reflections. All are welcome. \n
