Play is good medicine for everything that ails us! Young people, old people, and everyone in between are invited to our next Westminster Commons event to play games, have fun, and turn a stranger into a friend.
We’ll have active games led by Camp Wawa Segowea counselors and board games led by members of our Conversation Club. At 4:45 pm, we’ll all gather to introduce ourselves and play one big circle game. Camp Wawa will teach us to play Pillo Polo in one room while the rest of us play Bingo in another. Free snacks and drinks throughout the afternoon will help us keep our energy up. Kids and adults are welcome!
Come early at 3:00 pm if you’d like to join our Conversation Club prior to our event. This weekly event pairs English language learners with native speakers for language practice, connection, and fun.
The Westminster Commons is hosted by the Westminster Presbyterian Church and led by a group of neighbors and friends. Our goal is to help different people and groups in the Capital Region connect to create a sense of common purpose, address problems, and enjoy life more. Westminster Commons is funded in part by New America’s US@250 Fellows program.
