Please join Us! Make a World of Difference!
African Family Night is an important and fun way for the community to come together and support mission projects undertaken with our partners in Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. All projects aim to help build brighter futures for vulnerable children in impoverished communities through vital health and education services. To continue offering these services, our goal is to raise $15,000 this year.
This is sure to be a special evening with a time for:
- joining with old and new friends to enjoy fabulous food,
- dancing to African drumming with Seth Tagoe,
- gospel music performance by Humphrey Gold, “Have You Made Up Your Mind to Praise the Lord,”
- messages from Nell Stokes and Lois Wilson,
- … and more!
Come join in our fashion show featuring traditional African attire!
Be sure to join in our fashion show featuring traditional African attire—hosted by Roseline Arah Takor, President of the Cameroonian Association of the Greater Capital District.
If you are able to bring a food dish to share, that will be warmly welcomed. But most importantly, we look forward to seeing you!
Your support will help ensure that, together with our partners, we can continue to provide health and education opportunities for children and the communities we serve through our shared projects. For 2024, we remain committed to our education and nutrition programs in Liberia; are working in collaboration with our Ghana partners – especially in a community still impacted by recent flooding; and are forging a new relationship in Sierra Leone with an emerging secondary school in an underserved region.
These and other initiatives which we have sponsored for more than two decades are only possible because of the support of generous donors. With your continued support, we can extend our reach and impact even further.

Please feel free to bring any donations to our African Family Night event. Collection Dates: August 30–September 29 Learn more
