Worship with FOCUS Churches of Albany at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Albany.

• When: February 1, 2026
• Location: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 85 Chestnut Street, Albany
• Worship Service Time: 10:00 am
• Online Worship: We look forward to worshiping with you in-person and online. Worshiping online is available on Zoom (see details below).
• Parking: There is a small parking lot at 85 Chestnut St, on-street parking, and many parking spots available near the Empire State Plaza on Swan St.
• Joint Choir: We will have a joint FOCUS choir. Please come at 9:00 am to practice.
• Worship with Communion–for those worshiping online: Please gather your own communion elements prior to the service—any kind of bread and any kind of drink in any kind of cup.

Any undesignated offerings beyond specific giving for the congregation will go to support FOCUS.

Please stay after worship and join us for refreshments and coffee.

Focus Scripture: Matthew 5:1-12

This Sunday, Westminster hosts a special combined worship service with the FOCUS Churches Communities of Faith, featuring a joint choir directed by Christopher Price. We gather to renew the FOCUS Covenant, acknowledging our common calling to work together more effectively than we can separately.

The Beatitudes provide the blueprint for belonging to this counter-cultural community. Jesus reverses the world’s definition of happiness and power, proclaiming blessing for those who hunger for justice. Our mission is to demonstrate the liberating and reconciling power of the Gospel through shared ministry.

For more than 50 years, the FOCUS Churches of Albany have come together for worship. We take turns hosting the service, each featuring the music, liturgy, and preaching of that particular congregation. These services build our sense of community with each other, strengthening our ability to “do together what we cannot do separately” as the FOCUS Churches of Albany mission statement proclaims.
