We are thrilled to welcome guest jazz duo Brian Halliday (piano) and Jeff Calistri (trumpet) to lead our worship music this coming Sunday!
Both are standout talents in the Capital District and bandmates in the group Soul Session. Brian is a SUNY Purchase jazz graduate and musical director at Panza’s in Saratoga, while Jeff is a long-time regional performer and the band director at Tamarac High School.
They have put together a wonderful, high-energy program featuring a soulful, Dixie-jazz flair:
- Prelude: A medley of For the Beauty of the Earth, Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise, and A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
- Anthem: A spirited jazz take on Just A Closer Walk With Thee and When The Saints Go Marching In
- Postlude: A joyful send-off with the classic, On The Sunny Side of the Street.
