Christmas Eve Worship

Tonight we celebrate the arrival of God among us. Worship is in-person and online with Zoom. Please join us.

This is the night when we celebrate the arrival of God among us. We are bold to proclaim that the earth, with all its brokenness and pain, still is the home for God. The Christmas story gives us the confidence to look for God’s light throughout the world, and to allow it to shine forth from our lives.

Our service will also include Holy Communion, an invitation to open our hands and receive the gifts of God.

Music is an important part of every worship service at Westminster, but especially on Christmas Eve. Our choir will sing anthems by John Rutter, Ola Gjeilo, Dan Forrest, and Mary McDonald.

Our special musical guests this year are the James Street Quartet: Holly Larson and Chelsea Reeves (violin), Jody Van Voris (viola), and Heather Walker (cello) are professional musicians who play in local orchestras and teach in the Capital Region. They have performed together locally since 2020.

For those worshiping online – Communion & Candle: Please gather your own communion elements prior to the service — any kind of bread, any kind of drink in any kind of cup. Also, bring a candle (real or otherwise) for use during the service.
