FOCUS Churches Combined Summer Worship – September

FOCUS Churches is five covenant churches, united in a common calling to respond to our neighbor's needs in the city of Albany and beyond. Join us as we come together in a single worship service.

The FOCUS Combined Summer Worship season will continue with gathering at Westminster! Details include:

  • When: September 6, 2026
  • Location: Westminster Presbyterian Church
  • Worship Service Time: 10:00 am
  • Parking: Limited parking available in the church lot at 85 Chestnut Street. Parking is also available on Dove St and near the Empire State Plaza (about 1 block away.)
  • Online Worship: We look forward to worshiping with you in-person and online with Zoom. The Zoom link is listed below.
  • Worship with Communion–for those worshiping online: Please gather your own communion elements prior to the service—any kind of bread and any kind of drink in any kind of cup.
  • Children’s Activity: “Prayground” is available with activities for young children in the sanctuary

Refreshments/coffee after worship.

The loose offering always goes to FOCUS at these services. Individuals may write checks to FOCUS or to their home congregation, but anything undesignated goes to FOCUS.

For more than 50 years, the covenant churches of the FOCUS Churches of Albany have come together for worship three times during the summer. We take turns hosting the service, each featuring the music, liturgy, and preaching of that particular congregation. These services build our sense of community with each other, strengthening our ability to “do together what we cannot do separately” as our mission statement proclaims.
