Grateful Living & Faithful Giving: 2025 Stewardship Campaign Update

Nov 5, 2025

Psalm 118: “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”

November brings us slower, darker evenings, and cooler temperatures. It feels as though the world slows down just a bit before the holiday season picks us right back up. I love this stewardship season during this time, as it allows us to share chilly Sunday mornings gathering together and the beginning of reflection on the year we’ve had.

As we watch our tree grow in the back of the sanctuary I am reminded of the generosity and faithful community we have here at Westminster. Grateful living and faithful giving has been a grounding approach to everyday life, and I hope we’ve all felt that in some way. It’s not too late to add a leaf to our tree, with a reflection of gratitude to share with all.

Stewardship Sunday is quickly approaching on Sunday, November 16th, and I’m looking forward to celebrating all this season has to offer with our community.

Since kicking off stewardship back in October we have heard from many congregation members during worship about what stewardship means to them, and we have currently raised 23% of our goal of $210,000 for the 2026 budget. There is an updated budget presentation to the congregation on November 9th during the Second Hour. I encourage everyone to come, listen, and ask questions about the details of our budget for next year, and what that looks like for all of us and our future.

Please join me in prayerfully considering what stewardship means to you, and how we can all live gratefully and give faithfully.
