It is with pleasure the Music Search Committee announces we have selected a new Music Director to serve the Westminster family. We had the luxury of meeting several lovely candidates, but we were tasked with choosing the individual we felt would best meet the diverse needs of our congregation.
Christopher Price comes to us with a variety of experience that includes directing several other church choirs over the past eight years. Christopher moved to the state of New York in 2018, after teaching at Navarro College as Associate Professor of Choral Music. After moving to New York, he became the Fine Arts Coordinator for Troy Prep Uncommon Schools. Christopher is currently the high school choral director at Tamarac High School in Brunswick Central School District. He is a baritone soloist in the area and sings with Albany Pro Musica. He’s served as a music director for The Young Actors Guild in the Capital District working with children of all ages. Christopher also has a wonderful wife and 2 teenage boys.
His first Sunday with us will be January 15 – MLK Sunday. Please come and introduce yourselves to Christopher. He is eager to meet people in the church family.
