On November 20, 2022, we honored Lois Wilson for her legacy of mission work in West Africa during our worship service.
After nearly two decades of extraordinary vision, leadership, and achievement, Lois recently stepped down as Chairperson of the African Mission Committee at Westminster. Over these many years, Lois has championed the development of successful mission partnerships in Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone aimed to achieve shared goals of improving the lives of impoverished children through access to essential health and education services vital to their futures.

Congratulations Mama Lois on this special day as the Westminster Presbyterian Church celebrates you and honor you for your enormous contributions, the HOCAP family joins by celebrating and thanking God for the life of an Angel. Yes, we call you an Angel for that is what you are to us. Your eyes are continuously on the needs of the poor, the vulnerable, the underprivilege and you do not rest until you have brought them help. Indeed, we were hungry and you feed us, we were thirsty and you gave us a drink, we were strangers and you invited us in, we were naked and you clothed us, we were sick and you looked after us. Mama Lois you are a friend to the poor. AYEKOO.
We want to thank you for being a pillar to the birth of the partnership between WPC, Greenwich Meridian, Redemption Congregation and HOCAP. The benefits have been enormous and we are grateful. AYEKOO.
Finally Mama Lois we want to say that whatever you did for the communities in Okushibri, Kpoiete, Gonten Nyitawuta on the soil of Ghana in West Africa, you did it for God. AYEKOO.
